The red, white and blue Puerto Rican flag was replaced with black and white colors in July 2016 by “Artists in solidarity and RESISTANCE” a group of artists who originally painted the red, white and blue flag in a public door in Old San Juan. This was not an act of pessimism but a call to Resist…To RESIST the imposition of a Fiscal Control Board that has taken away what little power we had over our own country…A call to RESIST the continuation of Puerto Rico as a colony of the US.
